My story and journey to coaching...

As a child, I loved math and building legos which pointed me straight to engineering school. I studied biomedical engineering at Vanderbilt University, followed by a masters program at Texas A&M. I always knew that I wanted to help people and building medical devices would combine this desire with my academics. I started my career in a leadership program at National Instruments with impactful mentorship and training that guided me into a career in technical product management.
After many years focused on hardware, I moved to Microsoft to build my software chops. Seeking a bigger impact, I left the B2B world for an opportunity at Sonos where I would manage consumer products. While building my career, I had two children and I loved building audio products that my family enjoyed at home. Across these roles, I led product management teams, large businesses, and worked as an individual contributor. While I enjoyed the problem solving and challenge of the product space, I always knew there was something else out there for me.

It became clear to me that I light up when I get to partner with others on their career journeys. I am passionate about supporting people in their goals and transitions and saw a big need for this type of support especially in mid career. As a working parent, it became even more important that I spend my work time on something that inspired me. I committed to formal training to apply my experience and passions to a broader audience. I enrolled in the Leadership and Performance Coaching Training at Brown University in 2020. I started Dolman Leadership Coaching, received my ICF ACC certification, and continued coaching every chance I had.

After having my third child and much reflection, I took a leap moving from product management into a new corporate role aligned with my passion for coaching and leadership development. I served as executive recruiter and talent cultivation leader for product before shifting into leadership development focused on senior leaders across the business. It is refreshing to gain new experiences and have a broad impact on people, while still leveraging my product and leadership background.
The impact that this career change has on my own life and my passion for women in the workplace drives me to coach others to find their sweet spot. I experienced unique challenges of being a woman in tech, woman in leadership, and a working mother, and now want to serve this population. My intention is to guide and challenge others to design meaningful careers and intentional modes of operating aligned with who they are and what matters to them. I look forward to connecting with you to share our stories and see how we can work together.
